A rare 1977 vintage color print ad
This is an original 1977 KLM print ad featuring KLM Captain Jacob Louis Veldhuyzen van Zanten.  He was the pilot in command of KLM Boeing 747 flight KL4805 when it collided with PAN AM Boeing 747 flight PA1736 while attempting to takeoff in heavy fog from Los Rodeos Airport, Tenerife in the Canary Islands.  This
accident
remains the
deadliest
disaster in aviation history.
