Description
Rare Sony Trinitron KV-20XBR CRT Television with pure RGB video input. Remote included. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.First let me detail the damage, all of which is cosmetic. First, there is a hole (see pic) on the bottom of the TV on the right side. The hole pre-dates my ownership of the TV, I didn't even know it was there until I did a full 360 inspection before posting it for sale. The hole does not compromise the strength of the chassis and I never noticed any light leaking from the bottom of the TV. You can't see the hole from any normal viewing angles. Like I said, I never even noticed it.
Second, the end plate of the remote it missing (see pic). I am sure a replacement could be easily made.
This is one of Sony's interesting North American Trinitron CRTs that came with a factory RGB input. No RGB mod is necessary. I am including my pictured adapter that feeds RGB through BNC connectors to the Sony's 34-pin "RGB Multi Input". This is for CRT aficionados -- it's up to you to get 15KHz RGB signal from your original consoles, FPGA or emulator to the adapter. I ran this connected to a emulator PC running Retroarch with CRTemudriver to provide the required signal. The TV originally included attached speakers, but I don't have them. It has a built-in amp and can power 8 ohm stereo speakers straight out of the back of the TV.
Please note:
Aside from the RGB input, the only other video inputs are composite (two in back, one in front).
The RGB is NOT SCART. This is Sony's own proprietary RGB connector, but I include the adapter I built to allow BNC connections.
Ebay required I enter the "Maximum Resolution", which I admit I don't know. It can handle 480p but I haven't systematically tested beyond that. I was running Windows 10 on this at 640x480. People interested in this are probably more interested in the minimum resolution, and yes this will do 240p, which I why I specified that value where Ebay required.
This is a 55 lbs. television, so shipping isn't cheap. I have packed it very well and the corners are very secure with foam.
Better yet -- free local pick-up in Phoenix, AZ area.
I will only deal with buyers THROUGH EBAY. If you don't intend to buy through Ebay don't bother bidding.
